We checked 2,000 AI tool websites. One listing in ten no longer exists as advertised.

· ToolsNoCode

A directory audit of about 2,000 AI and no-code tool homepages: 207 listings delisted, 164 of them because the product was renamed, acquired or replaced, 35 because the domain now serves something else entirely.

Over the last three days we opened the homepage of every tool in this directory whose page was thin enough to need rewriting: about 2,000 sites out of 3,098 listings. The goal was better descriptions. The side effect was a census of how fast the AI tool market moves, and it is faster than the directory was.

The result: 207 listings are gone as of today. Not hidden, not deprioritised; withdrawn, with the reason recorded on each row. Here is what the 207 look like, because the mix says more than the total.

The largest group is not dead products. It is products whose own homepage now describes something else: a new name, a new owner, or a different product on the same domain. A listing for "X" that sends you to a site that says "X is now part of Y" is worse than no listing, because it looks alive and is wrong.
