Columns

A: Columns transforms your data into a beautiful narrative, making analysis and visualization easier and more engaging

Columns turns structured data into visual stories for consultants, educators, and marketers who need to present analysis rather than raw tables. Described as an AI storyteller for your data, it produces a narrative from your numbers so analysis and visualization are easier to follow and more engaging than a conventional BI dashboard. It connects to Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, CSV and TSV files, REST APIs, and SQL databases.

Design tools let you adjust every element on the canvas, with AI able to assist when asked. Finished stories can be shared through a public link or embedded on a website, and a schedule keeps a story in sync with its connected data so it updates automatically. The directory lists it under spreadsheets and databases, and AppSumo frames it as an alternative to Canva, Microsoft Excel, and Tableau.

Columns is sold on AppSumo as a lifetime deal with a one-time payment for premium access, which makes it a paid product. Connect a spreadsheet and generate a first story to judge the output.
