Eyesight Simulator
A vision simulator for myopia and astigmatism
Most people who wear glasses cannot say what their prescription means. "-2.50 -0.75 x 180" is just a line on a slip. Eyesight Simulator shows it instead: type the numbers and see a street, a phone screen or your own photo as you would see it without glasses, next to the corrected view.
It was built by a parent who has worn glasses since middle school and wanted a way to show a child what nearsightedness actually looks like before and after it starts. There is a large "show a child" view with simple levels and a full-screen mode.
The site also explains SPH, CYL and AXIS, spherical equivalent and myopia grades, in English and Chinese. It is free, needs no account and processes everything locally in the browser. It is a simulation for learning, not an eye test.
