Llama

Generates text, translates languages, and assists coding

Llama is Meta's family of AI models for generating text, translating between languages, and helping with code. The current site lists Llama 4 and Llama 3 alongside newer Muse models, along with a Meta Model API and its own API documentation for developers.

Most of the site is aimed at builders: documentation, cookbooks, videos, case studies, and community links to GitHub and Hugging Face. Meta also publishes safety material under the Llama Protections banner, including a Llama Defenders Program and a developer use guide. Note that the specific page linked from this directory currently returns a page-not-available error, so start from the main Llama site instead.

Listed here in the chatbots and assistants category, Llama is free to use. Developers should start with the Llama docs and cookbooks, and look at the Meta Model API docs if they want to call the models through an API.
