Ollama
Ollama is the easiest way to automate your work using open models, while keeping your data safe
Ollama lets developers run open AI models and connect them to coding agents while keeping their data private. Its site describes two sides: a download for running models locally, and a cloud service with dedicated capacity so throughput holds up when several agents run at once. The pitch is that the latest open models come close to the best closed ones at a fraction of the cost.
You keep your existing setup: the site lists one-command launches for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, VS Code, n8n and other tools, and says you can switch models without changing your workflow. On privacy, Ollama states that prompts are never tracked or trained on by any provider, and that cloud models are hosted only in the US, Europe and Singapore. The site claims you can be up and running in under two minutes. It is listed here under Research, though the site is aimed at developers using agents.
The directory marks Ollama as free, and the local download supports that, but the site also has a pricing page and advertises predictable pricing for cloud usage. If you run multiple coding agents and want open models with data kept private, check the pricing page to see what the paid cloud tier adds.
