Semantic Scholar
Semantic Scholar uses groundbreaking AI and engineering to understand the semantics of scientific literature to help Scholars discover relevant research
Semantic Scholar is a free, AI-powered research tool that helps scholars find relevant work across the scientific literature. Rather than relying on keyword matching alone, it applies AI to understand the semantics of a paper, and its search spans more than 238 million papers from every field of science.
The research-category tool includes Semantic Reader, an augmented reading mode in beta designed to make dense scientific papers more accessible and contextual for select titles. Developers can also build on top of the underlying data through an API that supports paper search, with documentation aimed at making it easy to start building a scholarly app. The project is built at Ai2, the Allen Institute for AI.
Semantic Scholar is free to use, with no paid tier mentioned anywhere on the site, so researchers and developers can create a free account and start searching the literature or exploring the API right away.
