One API key for Claude, Codex and Gemini coding agents

Code By AI is a unified API gateway for AI coding agents. Instead of juggling separate accounts, payment methods and API keys for Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, developers get one key and one prepaid balance that works across Claude, GPT/Codex and Gemini models. You keep the tools you already use — Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Pi, Cline, Trae, Qoder, Qwen Code, CodeBuddy, ZCode and WorkBuddy — and simply point them at Code By AI's base URL.

The service speaks four native wire formats with the same key and the same per-token price: Anthropic Messages, OpenAI Responses, OpenAI Chat Completions and Google Gemini. Requests are forwarded as-is rather than translated between protocols, so streaming, tool calls, reasoning items and token-usage frames behave the way each client expects.

Pricing is pay-as-you-go. The site lists 21 models (11 Claude, 6 Codex/GPT, 4 Gemini) at about 13% of official price on average, with savings of up to 90%. There is no monthly subscription: you top up a balance (minimum US$3), usage is debited per token. Larger top-ups receive an automatic tiered discount of 3% to 15%. Creating an account is free and does not require a card; API calls require a top-up.

Beyond coding models, the same key also provides access to GPT Image 2.5 for text-to-image and image-to-image generation. Code By AI is aimed at individual developers, indie hackers and small teams who use terminal agents or AI IDEs heavily.
