Didon

Private AI time tracker for Mac that runs on-device

Didon is an AI time tracker and work journal for Mac. You list your projects and activity categories once. Then Didon runs in the background, takes a screenshot every 30 seconds and analyzes it with a local LLM (Qwen-3-VL:2b) on your machine. It reads window titles, file names, apps and on-screen text to see what you are working on, and logs the time to the right project.

At the end of the day you get a work log and a daily report: time by project, time by activity, weekly and monthly charts, peak hours and a focus score. You can ask your work logs questions in plain language. Logs are saved as CSV in ~/Documents/Didon/, so they work for client billing or reports.

Screenshots never leave your Mac. Tracking works offline. It starts with your system and pauses when your Mac sleeps, so idle time is not counted.

Free plan with 1 week of history, no credit card. Paid plans add exports, full history and productivity metrics.
