GPTChat for Slack

Boost Slack productivity with AI: content, coding, lists, privacy-focused

GPTChat for Slack lets Slack teams send requests to OpenAI without leaving their workspace. Users can ask it to generate emails and articles, produce lists and best practices on a topic, write code, or simply ask anything from inside a channel.

Setup is self-service: you register with the same email address as your Slack organization, add the app to Slack, and supply your own OpenAI API key, which the site explains how to obtain. According to its privacy policy, the app needs Slack API keys to post messages and notifications, OpenAI API keys to reach the OpenAI platform, and it keeps temporary conversation logs for error handling and improving the experience. The tool has a Product Hunt listing and is filed under coding and development in this directory, with chatbot, code-assistant and email-assistant tags.

The site itself does not display any pricing, and the directory lists the app as free. To try it, register with your Slack organization's email, add the app to your workspace and paste in an OpenAI API key.
